Rescheduled: Eat at Chipotle on December 16th, and support Hazel!

NOTE: This event, originally scheduled for 12/2, has been rescheduled for 12/16 due to inclement weather. Updated flyer is below.

Have a hunger for some delicious burritos or fajitas? Support Hazel by getting your grub on at Chipotle in West Orange (235 Prospect Ave, next to Whole Foods) on December 16th between 5pm and 9pm, and 33% of your purchase will go to the school!

Bring the flyer, or mention you’re supporting Hazel Ave School when making your purchase. And tell friends and family – ANYONE can go and eat to support our school. Just please don’t hand out flyers outside the restaurant – that’s not allowed! And online orders won’t count as well.

Details are in the flyer below. This is a delicious way to support our school!

Snow Update: Early Dismissal 12/2

Due to the weather conditions, Hazel Ave Elementary will follow the early dismissal timing for today, Monday December 2nd. There will be no after-school activities. Please pick up your child at 1:15.

Help the 5th Grade Student Council with their Thanksgiving Food Drive!

Donate canned or boxed food between now and Thursday, November 21st  to support the West Orange Township food drive. See the flyer below for more information on the food items needed. Supplies in the food bank are very low, so be generous!

Your child can bring in the food, and deposit it in the black crates outside designated classrooms in Hazel.

Update: Fundraiser closed! – Buy holiday gifts, and support Hazel!

The Boon Fundraiser closed, and the PTA is proud to announce that we hit our fundraising goal of $2,000 raised! Thank you to all of the parents, teachers and staff who took time to share the link, make purchases, and support the PTA! These funds will be used to pay for for future assemblies, help offset class trip costs, and fund the events that are held during the year. THANK YOU!

The Hazel Ave PTA is raising money for the school through a Boon Supply fundraiser! Purchase gifts for yourself, your friends and your family, and know that 40% of your purchase is returned to the school! A packet with information and a catalog will be sent home with your child by the end of the week.

Shop online using this link:

Share this link with friends and family, and encourage them to do some holiday shopping to help our school!

As a parent or guardian of a child at Hazel, you can also register your child for the fundraiser, and share the shopping link from the Boon Supply website. Doing so will qualify your child for prizes as your friends and family make purchases (and sharing the link with just 10 people will automatically earn your child a prize).

When sharing this link with friends and family, be sure to tell people to include your child’s name and classroom teacher to ensure they are credited with any purchases made! When checking out, you can input this information. This is an optional step – ALL sales will still benefit the school, but this is a great way for children to receive fun prizes!

High quality bags, fun gifts, scented candles and much more are available from our online store. Please see the flyer below for more information, and get your shopping on!

The fundraiser ends December 2nd.
