Mr. Kuczmarski, or Mr. K as he’s affectionately known, one of Hazel Ave School’s gym teachers, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Mr. K will be taking time off of work to focus on fighting this disease.
We wanted to make you aware of a page that was set up to provide meals for Mr. K’s family as a way of supporting his fight. You can visit the Meal Train page that was set up, and donate towards a meal on a specific date, or support via food gift cards. You can visit this page at a later time to see if other dates have been added for donating as well.
Please join the PTA in keeping Mr. K in your thoughts. We hope he gets well soon.

Hazel Ave Families,
Over the past three years, it has been an honor and privilege to be the principal of Hazel Avenue School. After careful thought and consideration, I have accepted a new position as Superintendent of Stillwater Township School as of July 1, 2019. I will work closely with Mrs. de Mendez to make sure the transition to a new administrator is a smooth one, with minimal impact on the students and families in the Hazel Community.
It has been a pleasure to work with dedicated faculty and staff, supportive families, amazing PTA, and wonderful students at Hazel Ave School. As I move on to my new position, I will take with me all the experiences and memories from my time at Hazel Ave. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
